FAQ's

Recycling beverage containers helps us preserve and maintain a sustainable environment for ourselves, our children and our future generations by reducing the effect of waste and non-biodegradable products.

Kids can definitely recycle too! Put them in charge of making sure recyclables end up in the curbside bin or indulge them in sorting the bottles and cans with you.

When recycling, we suggest you to empty and rinse the bottles and put the caps back on them.

It would be in your best interest to have your container load pre-sorted as it will save your time spent at the Depot.

The container recycling fees vary by the size of the container and the material it’s made from. The fees cover the costs associated with recovering and processing the used beverage containers.

Here are some things you can do to prepare for the Depot:

  • Sort Your Containers
  • Rinse Your Containers
  • Separate Them Based On Material

If you operate a business that produces a large volume of beverage containers, check with Depot for a commercial pickup service. https://roperbottledepot.ca/pickup-service/

Most depots have a way for you to donate your containers to a local charity. Depots also work with community groups and local organizations to host bottle drives. https://www.roperbottledepot.com/contact-us/
